My favorite thing about this and its companion pieces is color! Prussian Blue against the Gray and Umber background show the dramatic strength of this saddle. I was drawn to the lovely curves of these stirrups. It was a pleasure to convey their graceful lines in paint! My artwork is inspired by my Grandfather, a cowboy in his younger days, whose stories I heard as a child made me fall in love with all things Western.
