DALLYING DYNAMO #1
by Ronna A Pate
My favorite thing about this and it’s companion pieces is color! Prussian Blue against the Gray and Umber background show the dramatic strength of this saddle. The focus of this piece is the horn which is used for roping and dallying cattle. Dallying, securely wrapping a rope several times around the horn, is done once an animal has been roped and caught. My artwork is inspired by my Grandfather, a cowboy in his younger days, whose stories I heard as a child made me fall in love with all things Western. Oil on Gallery Wrapped Canvas.
